A lot has happened since the RED ONE: 4k is no longer a six-figure workflow debacle. No more 20 minute startup times and no more Red Ninjas and no more Rent-3-and-hope-1-works-all-day and no more Submarine On Your Shoulder workarounds. This camera isn’t a sublimation of a carbon fiber tribal tattoo. This is the 4k camera that just works.

Use the sensor as you need to:

•4k for speedy turnarounds on 1080-destined content, using s16 sized lenses.
•4k with low compression for that ‘Cinematic Look’ on a short or feature that might need a film printout.
•6k or 8k for commercial projects that are post-heavy and need as much padding as you can get.

Our package is set up for a dogged, mobile crew: plenty of cards for dumping data all day, PL or EF mounts so that you can throw your own glass on interchangeably with ours, moveable components with NATO rails out the wazoo and a 4x Switronix 150Wh batteries so that you can shoot for 8-10 hours without needing to hunt for an outlet—and without running out of juice mid-take.

Dress it down or dress it up. Tune your package for sitting-on-sticks or run and gun. We’ll work with you to get it ready out of the case: we’ve turned our minds and hands into a working Instruction Manual so you don’t ever have to open a real one.
