We had to think long and hard whether to include this matte box in our catalog or to make it a 'special request' kind of product; it's exteremely limited, very small, has no options for an eyebrow, has a maximum clamp of around 100mm and can only take 4x4 filters. That elminates it from a lot of projects. So what's it good for? Discretion. If you are building a rig that needs to be as unintimidating as possible and simplicity is paramount, this is a sneaky little matte box tailor-made for this. No rods, no french flags, no PV-sized filters, no rotating stages, no nonsense. Paired with a basic set of sticks and a smaller camera (our Ikonoskop A-Cam or an Aaton A-Minima, for example) and non-actors will think they're talking to a handicam. Less Spielberg, more Herzog.
