By no means an "econo-'box", the MB450 is the lightest and smallest full feature matte box we offer.
We've shot in the desert, in salt-water, on mountains and inside an air-conditioned cafeteria with this matte box, and the reason that we keep coming back to it is it's durability: Chrosziel doesn't make cinema equipment for you and your gear—they make it for the filmmaker 2 generations after you.
Over the coarse of one particularly hairy three-week shoot, we went through an Arri MB-20, a Vocas MB-350 and two Genus Elites. Those are all great 'boxes, but if you're going to be doing a lot of crowded run-and-gun, expect things to start to start going awry. Stashed in the back of the truck was this guy, which stayed clamped to glass for the remainder of the gig.
If you're doing a lot of driving around for pickups or need something to throw an ND on a B Cam, we'd reccomend this matte box every time.
